Hello, all it’s giveaway time! We just received some exciting news from our friends over at Endurance Lasers. They are hosting a giveaway to celebrate the launch of their new Endurance 10 Watt Diode Laser. The giveaway ends on the 5th of August so get in now while you have a chance to ENTER.
What is the laser?
Endurance will be giving away a brand new 10 Watt Diode laser that allows anyone to turn their regular old printer into a full CNC and engraving machine. This new laser is quite sturdy from what I have seen. It can cut through most natural materials reasonably quickly; some of these materials include. Stainless Steel, Copper, Acrylic, wood and it even can engrave into stone! How cool is that?
The laser is relatively easy to install to. There is no need to remove you’re old extruder head and pieces to fit it on. It attaches directly to the side of the extruder on all printers so anyone can use this. As for the software you don’t need to spend any extra money to find a new tool to allow the full use of the laser. You can use any of your existing Slicers such as Cura, S3D and even Slic3r. All that is needed for the laser to be correctly utilised is a plugin available directly from endurance themselves.
Is it worth it?
Yes! For all those interested in getting an engraving machine or a CNC machine I would look into investing into one of these 10 Watt Lasers. They can do so much for such little effort. There’s no need to spend hours fiddling with wires screws and other components when you can buy one that can directly connect to your existing setup.
